Howrah Green world ( HGW ) is one of the largest and perhaps the most diversified non-profitiery organization based in West Bengal , India. Modeled as a developmental Organization that carries out development projects in remote and inaccessible parts of West Bengal and other urban region alike we have made a difference to thousand of lives across Howrah and other districts. Since our establishment in 2004, HGW is a developmental organization with a difference. We integrate various development initiative together to develop sustainable and self-reliant communities with a sharp focus on education, health, employment generation and caring for the environment, Women & Child, Disabled & Backward Classes etc. We have a dedicated team of enthusiasts who work with us to design and implement different projects and developments. This organization is tagged also with different Central & State Ministries and Departments and other Non-Govt. and Semi-Govt. organization. The main target of this organization is to provide quality services and maximum coverage for the poorest of the poor.
We aim at doing everything possible in order to achieve the great Indian dream of making India an educated and healthy nation, free of poverty and its inhuman indignities.

The organization has been facilitating developmental initiatives more than 41 municipal Areas
& 157 Gram Panchayat Areas spread across West Bengal. Our areas of intervention support as estimated 50,000 people residing primarily in the remote and backward areas of the States.

Howrah District is one of the leading district in West Bengal which is consider as the “Gateway” of Kolkata. Howrah is also place of historic importance and which is said to the Howrah is the confluence of caste, creed, race and language including Tribal Tradition.
- Project Activities at a glance
a) Camp Activities :
Organized four ( 4 ) nos. of Whole day Camp for the Disabled Persons under “ADIP’ Scheme in the Block of :
i) Shyampur – I on 21-03-2015, Beneficiaries attended/entertained 60 - Nos.
ii) Amta – II on 26-03-2015, Beneficiaries attended/entertained 65 - Nos.
iii) Uluberia – II on 27-03-2015, Beneficiaries attended/entertained 60 - Nos.
iv) Howrah Municipal Area on 30-03-2015, Beneficiaries attended/entertained 60 - Nos.
Apart from the above these camps were presented by many govt. officials and other dignitaries, public representatives, NGO representatives etc.
b) Non-Camp Activity :
Distributed Prosthetic Aid/Appliances in the camp, on the very same day or thereafter:
i) Shyampur – I : 25 - Nos.
ii) Amta – II : 24 - Nos.
iii) Uluberia – II : 10 - Nos.
iv) Howrah Municipal Area : 32 - Nos.

We have organized 1st camp on 21-03-2015 in Shyampur Primary School regarding enroll, collect documents and distribute Aid/Appliances to the Person with Disabilities under ADIP Scheme. We have invited District Social Welfare Officer , Commissioner of PWDs, District Magistrate of Howrah etc. We have Invited Concerned BDO, BWO, officer in charge of local police station, Panchayat Samity Sabhapati and other respectable person in that area also . Before the camp our volunteers visited the area and publicize the programme and the scheme , so that PWDs got to know about the scheme properly . Many people had attended the programme , We have shortlisted them by the rule and eligibility criteria provided by the Disability Department , Ministry of Social justice & empowerment, New Delhi.
